NASHVILLE, Tenn. â€" For a guy who sang so many sad songs, George Jones left behind a lot of laughs. There was more humor than sadness at Jones' funeral Thursday at the Grand Ole Opry House as thousands gathered in Nashville â€" some arriving hours

George Jones was one of the most accomplished performers in country music, with 27 Top 10-charting albums and 143 Top 40 country hits to his credit, fourteen of them having peaked at No. 1. His funeral is open to the public, beginning at 10 a.m. CST

The country music legend was emotionally remembered at his funeral this morning at The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn. As previously reported, the funeral was open to the public, and thousands of fans lined up early to gain admittance.

Kid Rock and Brad Paisley are among the acts that will perform at George Jones' funeral. The country legend will be honored tomorrow at the Grand Ole.

Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Randy Travis, and other big names in country music are set to perform at today's star-studded memorial service for country legend George Jones, who passed away at 81 last week.
