Orb powered through on the home stretch to win the 139th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, giving Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey his first winner in the first leg of the Triple Crown. Joel Rosario piloted Orb to the victory in
True to its reputation as "the most exciting two minutes in sports," the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby was another thriller. With the lead pack running a blistering pace for much of the race, Rosario allowed Orb to drop back before surging late.
The 139th running of the Kentucky Derby on May 4 definitely did not disappoint.
